PRTEC is back after 5 years blank periods due to the pandemic. PRTEC2024 provides promising opportunities, sharing and updating the state-of-the-art of thermal engineering with related science and technologies, covering Fundamentals and Applications of Heat and Mass Transfer, Thermal Engineering with complex fluids, Micro/Nano Scale Phenomena and Thermo-Physical Properties. Recent developments in thermal and fluid systems for energy storage and conversion match the scope of this conference series. The importance of the role of heat and mass transfer in bio-systems will be emphasized in the coming conference.
We strongly encourage attendance and extended abstract submission not only from the Pacific-rim countries but also from all over the world.
About
The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) had co-developed a successful series of joint conferences on thermal engineering (AJTEC) at four-year intervals. The AJTEC series were held in: Honolulu, Hawaii (1983 and 1987); Reno, Nevada (1991); Maui, Hawaii (1995); San Diego, California (1999); Hawaii Island, Hawaii (2003); Vancouver, Canada (2007); and Honolulu, Hawaii (2011).
JSME, the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers (KSME) and the American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE) have launched a new conference series, Pacific Rim Thermal Engineering Conference (PRTEC) in Hawaii Island, Hawaii (2016) as a successive conference of AJTEC. The key themes of the PRTEC series are "Fundamental", "Interdisciplinary" and "Diversity" with a vision for the future of Thermal Engineering.
The second conference of the PRTEC series (PRTEC2019) was successfully held in Maui Island, Hawaii, as an international forum for exchanging new ideas and directions related to future thermal engineering and presenting the latest work in this field.
