Music takes center stage at OUTRIGGER Kaua‘i Beach Resort & Spa, as we welcome the Kaua‘i Mokihana Festival's Composers Contest & Concert — a cherished celebration of original Hawaiian music.
Presented by the Malie Foundation, this inspiring evening showcases newly composed mele (songs) performed live, blending tradition with modern creativity. From heartwarming ballads to powerful chants, each piece tells a story rooted in culture and aloha.
The Kaua‘i Mokihana Festival is a week-long celebration of Hawaiian culture and music. OUTRIGGER is honored to be the venue for this special evening of mele and storytelling.
The Kauaʻi Mokihana Festival is a weeklong celebration of Kauaʻi's Hawaiian culture, organized by the Mālie Foundation, and will take place September 20-26, 2026. This festival offers a rare opportunity to experience authentic Kauaʻi culture, from hula and mele to lei-making and local crafts, in a setting judged and led by island practitioners Hawaii Guide.
