Second Annual Honolua Classic
Holding Window: November 15-December 31, 2025 | Honolua Bay, Maui
Returning for its second year, the Honolua Classic is an invitation-only surf event honoring Maui's first responders, educators, and military community. Co-hosted by OUTRIGGER Kā‘anapali Beach Resort and Kahākūkahi Ocean Academy, the event takes place at the legendary Honolua Bay during its peak winter surf season.
Founded by Lahaina-born world champion waterman Zane Schweitzer and U.S. Coast Guard Officer Dylan McCall, the Honolua Classic embodies gratitude, healing, and connection through ocean stewardship. Beyond competition, it serves as a heartfelt tribute to those who protect, teach, and serve the island community.
Proceeds from the event directly support the Lahaina Junior Lifeguard Program, helping rebuild essential ocean safety training for Maui's youth, as well as ongoing educational efforts at Kahākūkahi Ocean Academy.
The exact contest date will be announced 72 hours in advance based on wave conditions.
