Ocean Voyage: A Waʻa Experience

Ocean explorers are invited aboard a waʻa (Hawaiian sailing canoe) for a meaningful hands-on experience led by Kahakukahi Ocean Academy. Rooted in the traditions of Polynesian voyaging, this immersive ocean adventure connects keiki to the power of the sea through sailing, paddling, cultural awareness, and environmental stewardship.

Celebrate World Ocean Day by returning to the roots of Polynesian navigation and discovering the importance of caring for Hawaiʻi's coastal waters and coral reefs. Whether catching the wind under sail or paddling together across the blue, participants will experience an unforgettable journey grounded in mālama honua values and respect for the ocean.

Open to all ages 8 and over. Participants must be able to swim.
