Pepeluali (February) is recognized as Mahina ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian Language Month), a time to celebrate and encourage the use of the Hawaiian language.

Learn the Hawaiian language through song. Mele tell stories of love, places, events, and much more.

Learn to prepare a favorite Hawaiʻi food and pick up Hawaiian words and phrases related to cooking

Aloha Friday Mele
Enjoy a live performance from our hosts celebrating Hawaiian language through mele (song) and hula (dance).  Open to all. No reservations required.

Engage with Hawaiian words and phrases through the practice of lei making!

ʻŌlelo | Language
Learn Hawaiian language through a self-introduction and the meaning of a Hawaiian proverb.

Be sure to reserve your spot. Walk-ins are welcomed and subject to availability. Please visit Kawenaokeao Cultural Center (8am to 5pm).
